Unshackled is a platform dedicated to helping ambitious immigrants secure U.S. talent visas without relying on the traditional H-1B lottery system. While their existing website had strong copy and well-placed CTAs, it suffered from a dark theme and scattered branding elements—resulting in lower user engagement, high bounce rates, and a less cohesive user experience. Our mission was to overhaul Unshackled’s online presence by creating a unified brand identity, cleaner user journeys, and stronger visual impact.

Background & Challenges

  1. Dark-Themed Design: The previous site used a darker color palette that made reading and navigation challenging, decreasing conversion potential.
  2. Disjointed Branding: Mismatched elements (colors, fonts, and graphics) failed to convey a consistent brand story, leading to confusion about Unshackled’s core value.
  3. Underwhelming UX Flow: While the copy was compelling, the site’s layout and hierarchy didn’t guide users intuitively. Visitors were less inclined to explore, leading to higher bounce rates.

  • Color Palette: We introduced a bold blue gradient that visually reflects both optimism and professionalism. This gradient becomes a central element, tying all pages together under a shared brand look.

  • Stronger CTAs: While the old site had decent CTA placement, we tightened their phrasing and design to catch user attention. Each button visually pops against the blue gradient background, leading to more clicks.
